Owners Gary and Beth Pearce were among nearly 100 attendees representing over 30 dealerships from as far away as Canada. Cedar Outdoor was recognized as Berlin Gardens’ number one online retailer and, for the third straight year, the second largest volume dealer. This year’s seminar, “Outservicing Your Competition,” was opened with Berlin Gardens’ owner Sam Yoder reminding dealers that core values don’t change. Among them - accountability, honesty and respect – are reinforced when we walk the talk. Yoder encouraged dealers to know their products and always exceed their customers’ expectations – both keys to developing lasting customer relationships. Yoder then introduced keynote speaker Mike Jarrett, owner of PackShip USA and Jarrett Logistic Systems, Inc., the latter earning a spot on Inc. magazine’s list of the 5,000 fastest growing companies for the last three years. Jarrett credits his success in shipping and logistics to providing “extreme” customer service, which he defines as a blend of hiring the right people, embedding customer service as a core value, and empowering front line employees with decision-making authority.
